The details… Bring in toys to donate for less fortunate children. the bin will be in the MIAD Union until Dec. 11. All toys donated will be collected to fill the Ozaukee County needs along with the greater Milwaukee area and Southeastern Wisconsin through The Salvation Army and other charitable venues.

H1N1 Vaccination Clinic for all Members of the MIAD Community

The next H1N1 clinic will be held in the Marquette Memorial Union Ballroom on December 4, 2009 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

All members of the Marquette and MIAD community are eligible to receive the vaccine, including faculty and staff with an ID. The vaccine is offered at no cost and individuals will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis while supply lasts.

The Hood Internet is a Chicago-based duo DJ ABX and DJ STV SLV who mash up popular Hip Hop and “indie” samples.

We’re really proud to be teaming up with our friends AND our owners, the Milwaukee School of Engineering, to present the new masters of the mashup mixtape, The Hood Internet. Our very own DJ Dori Zori of the Girlina Show will get the dance floor buttered up with a DJ set starting at 9:30PM.

The details… Orestes Larios Zaak, Painter and Gregorio Escobar, sculptor, are well known in their native Cuba. Larios is a painter who explores nature and calls attention to its beauty and fragility. Perez is a sculptor who works with polished fine-grained wood. His sculptures reveal human and inanimate forms that can be both mysterious and shocking.

The recent thaw in Cuba-United States relations have made this visit possible. Don’t miss this rare opportunity.

Important Registration Information

The details… Registration packets are in your MIAD mailbox NOW. Retrieve your packet IMMEDIATELY and read it. Registration schedules are included in the packet. Upper-class students must contact their advisor and make an advising appointment at their earliest convenience. Foundation students are scheduled for group advising either 11/12 or 11/13, your assigned date is listed on your Foundations Worksheet in your registration packet.


No student will be allowed to register without your signed registration form – so seeing your advisor is critical.
