Having been struck by a 150-ton meteorite, Henry has to adapt to living precisely 91cm from where he should be in order to interact with the world.

“Les Choristes” de Christophe Barratier (France, 2004, 97 min)
This sentimental tale follows the arrival of a new teacher at a remote boys school in 1949 France. With disciplinary problems rampant, and the policies of the old-fashioned headmaster not helping, Monsieur Mathieu decides to introduce choral singing as a way to bridge the gap with his students.

“Tony Zoreil” de Valentin Potier (France, 2009, 22 minutes)
Tony is a 28 year-old bachelor who has inherited very large ears and an acute sensitivity to noise. In his quest for true love, he accumulates heartbreaks when women reject him because of his physical abnormality.

The details… “At Knife’s Edge” In Silent Film With Live Musical Performance

There will be a free screening of the short film “At Knife’s Edge” on Saturday, October 23, 2010, at the Eisner Museum Auditorium in Milwaukee’s Third Ward.

A “rags to riches tale soaked in blood”, the 28-minute film will feature live musical accompaniment performed by cellist Carter Dewberry, who is also the film’s score composer. Filmmaker Michael Melzer is bringing the production to Milwaukee, where the story is set, ahead of the film’s entry into the 2010-2011 festival circuit. Filming locations ranged from Milwaukee to London to Los Angeles. The event begins at 7:30pm and will include a short musical performance preceding the film, as well as a short Question and Answer session afterwards.
