|The details…||The Wisconsin Legislature will vote soon on the future of financial aid for Wisconsin college students in 2011. This year, 467 of MIAD’s students are relying on financial aid from the state of Wisconsin.
Financial aid is in danger in the 2011 state budget. Please help protect financial aid for students at MSOE and other private colleges and universities across the state. It’s easy, and will only take a minute of your time.
How you can help:
• Sign the electronic petition. Names equate to votes, and we must let our elected officials know that people are watching this issue.
• Click here to find the name and contact information for your local legislators. Send them a message saying that you know a better-educated workforce is a good thing for Wisconsin and that you hope they will vote to protect financial aid.
• Contact Governor Walker’s office at (608) 266-1212 or Governor@wisconsin.gov and ask him to include financial aid as part of his budget.
• Share this information with your family, co-workers, friends and anyone else you think will join us.
Every phone call, every petition signature, and every e-mail is critical. Thousands of Wisconsin college students who qualify for financial aid are on a waiting list because there isn’t enough funding available.
