LRC TIP OF THE WEEK: MANAGE YOUR MONEY

The details… As you probably already know, art supplies, food, and bills add up. Learning to keep track and budget your money can significantly reduce stress over financial concerns. If last semester left you short on grocery money, you may be interested in checking out the following link for a no-nonsense worksheet to get you started on creating your own budget worksheet.

Budgeting benefits include: reduces time and energy worrying about how the bills will be paid; provides information for a well-thought out plan for your income and expenses; lets you know if you need to consider additional income from a job; and, eliminates one more distraction from the focus needed to succeed in your college program!
If you would like to talk over strategies to create a plan, options for dealing with problems you anticipate, or would just like to have someone work through the process with you, don’t hesitate to make an appointment with a peer tutor. (They have had first-hand experience!)
