As the momentum of the semester settles into a higher activity level, it is easy to understand why students might get a little overwhelmed. This week’s tip is to use the LIST as a tool to thwart the tendency to try to think about too many things at the same time. Lists are a great tool to break down projects and assignments into manageable parts. By breaking down and listing out each part, you are better able to identify when you have time to do each part before the project/assignment is due. Additionally, because you have everything on a list and a plan when to accomplish each part, you will better be able to focus on ONE THING at a time and control the urge to become overwhelmed!
Join us for “Dissolving the Wall: Self Education with The Institution” with student curators Alyssa Anderson ’15 and Kayle Karbowski ’15. Learn more about their involvement with Swim Team, MIAD’s student-alumni-run curatorial program, as well as a recent curatorial project in New Mexico and their internships with current Pfister Artist in Residence Niki Johnson.
Thursday, November 20, 4:30 p.m., Todd Wehr Auditorium, light refreshments will be served.
