DON’T FORGET!! New York Trip Application Deadline is Wed, April 29th!

The details… MIAD students who will be juniors or seniors in the fall, are eligible to participate in the MIAD Fall Break trip to New York CIty. Travel is from October 9-13th. Students must submit a $50 deposit with their application. Application materials can be found on the board outside 450B. Space is limited!

Summer UPASS Information – IMPORTANT!

The details… Your current UPASS will remain active until 5/22. All students registered for summer classes by 5/8 will have their UPASS renewed automatically and you will have continuous service. If you enroll for summer school classes after 5/8 please see the R45 Help Desk to have your summer UPASS renewed. If you are not taking summer school classes it will not be possible to obtain a summer UPASS.

Again, IF you are enrolled for summer school by 5/8 your UPASS will be automatically renewed for the summer. and you need do nothing more.

MIAD DEFINE

The details… MIAD DEFINE is an annual college-wide day of discussion and inquiry about the contemporary practices of MIAD artists, designers and educators. MIAD DEFINE offers a plethora of events for participants including discussions and roaming critiques of the senior exhibition in the morning, and panels, presentations and discussions framed and led by MIAD’s students, faculty and staff in the afternoon.

Sell your work at MIAD’s Creative Fusion – May 2

 

Event: On Saturday, May 2, 2015, MIAD hosts our annual scholarship fundraising benefit. Creative Fusion is one of Milwaukee’s most anticipated events with over 350 influential attendees.

Student Sale Opportunity: Sell your art and design work by participating in our student hallway galleries at Creative Fusion. We have created a special tag that you need to fill out and attach to each work that is for sale for this event. Only work with a tag will be sold. If someone wants to buy your work that evening we will facilitate the sale for you. You will receive 70% of the sale price and 30% will go to MIAD scholarships. Please keep the percentages in mind when pricing your work.

Application Process: If you are interested in participating in this student art sale opportunity, please email Annie Hyma directly at anniehyma@miad.edu. You must provide your Name, Email, Phone Number, Price(s), and image(s) of your work. Applicants will be chosen by April 27.

Deadline: You must submit your information and images by April 24 to be eligible to sell your work at Creative Fusion. The work that is sold will be packaged and taken home that evening.
