NEW RESOURCE! Student Advising Moodle Site

The details… Check out the new Student Advising Moodle site! As a registered student at MIAD, you are automatically enrolled into this “course” to utilize as a resource! Get information about advising at MIAD, links and resources related to major and career exploration, writing and research skills, and time management and study skills. Check out the FAQ section as well! This is also the location to sign-up for the new Student Success Workshops that will be offered this fall semester. Although the workshops are geared towards Foundations students, every student at MIAD is welcome to attend. See you in August!

The details… Over the summer the library operating system changed and the nesw TOPCAT account login for all MIAD community members is your email address ( and the initial password will be: riverrat. Please change your password the first time you log in to protect your privacy. The new system is more intuitive and we know you will appreciate the change. Annual Sand Sculpture Competition

Date? Saturday, August 22
Time? 1pm-4pm
Where? Atwater Beach
How Much? FREE
The details… Come watch MIAD students transform Atwater Beach into a sand-sculpture gallery! The artists will work in small groups and build up to 20 beach sculptures. Prizes will go to the best overall sculpture, the most creative sculpture, and other categories determined on the day of the event.Only Freshman and new students can enter the event, but all other students, faculty, and staff are welcome to come show support, and hang out for the rest of the Surf @ Water festival!
