This hands-on program is a tribute to India’s extraordinary vegetarian culinary traditions. With 500 million vegetarians, it’s a culture steeped in meat-free cookery. We’ll be making soup to halwa, so come with an empty stomach, an apron if you like, and we’ll cook up some totally fab food. The spices will be perky, but not inflammatory in our menu that opens with Yellow Lentil (Chana Dal) Soup with Zucchini and Red Pepper Coulis. Our entrée will be a colorful Vegetable Korma served with steamed rice, Gujerati Green Beans, Eggplant Yogurt Raita, Apple Chutney and Onion Seed Naan. Indians love their sweets, so we’ll top it off with Carrot Cardamom Halwa. Acchī bhūkha (bon appetit)!
Students – $5.00 Staff and Faculty – $10.00 Limited to 20 participants. Questions & Sign up with Ricky in R45B.
