|MU Counseling Center is hosting a presentation on perfectionism by Lee Neagle, M.A. Executive Director of Aloria Health Institute of Education and Research.
“In our society, generally speaking being seen as a perfectionist is considered a positive trait, it invokes images of a disciplined, hardworking, and meticulous individual. The reality is much more bleak as struggling with perfectionism leaves individuals with feelings of insecurity and constant dissatisfaction. Throughout this discussion we will review the consequences of perfectionism both physically and emotionally while also reviewing ways we can be more mindful and compassionate with ourselves while staying goal oriented.”
Appetizers and drinks will be provided.
