{"id":1521,"date":"2020-09-04T13:11:34","date_gmt":"2020-09-04T18:11:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.miad.edu\/parents\/?p=1521"},"modified":"2020-09-04T13:14:17","modified_gmt":"2020-09-04T18:14:17","slug":"services-available-to-support-your-student","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.miad.edu\/parents\/2020\/09\/04\/services-available-to-support-your-student\/","title":{"rendered":"Services available to support your student"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In compliance with MIAD\u2019s COVID-19 Reopening plan to de-densify the college, Student Services is providing our services to students virtually (online, phone and Google Meets) with the exception of in-person crisis response teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are two teams of Student Service staff who are at MIAD to respond to crisis situations and to meet in-person with students who are emotionally distressed.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Calming rooms (RL95 and RL45C) are available Monday \u2013 Friday to students on campus who are emotionally distressed, so they can meet with support staff.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Resource guides available to students:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.miad.edu\/parents\/files\/2020\/09\/2020-FALL-HeathWellnessResourcesChart.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Health and Wellness Resource Guide<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.miad.edu\/parents\/files\/2020\/09\/studentguidetoservices.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Student Services Guide<\/a><\/li><li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/blogs.miad.edu\/parents\/files\/2020\/09\/Online-Learning-Partners-Description.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">Online Learning Partners<\/a><\/li><li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.miad.edu\/academic-programs\/other-degree-programs\/spring-2020-academic-plan\">COVID-19 FAQS page<\/a>\u00a0<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All tutoring services have moved to an online format for the semester. Students can check the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.miad.edu\/college-services\/academic-services\/miad-learning-commons\">Learning Resource Center (LRC)<\/a> Moodle page to sign up for tutoring or find other resources.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">MIAD works to support students and their education to the fullest extent.
