1. MIAD receives national accolades. <\/strong>For the sixth consecutive year, Graphic Design USA<\/em> magazine named MIAD a Top Design School<\/a> and named Erin Gray \u201922 and Carli Jordan \u201921 on the Students to Watch list. <\/p>\n\n\n\n 2. Unstoppable students.<\/strong> First-year students share their experiences<\/a> of starting college during the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 3. <\/strong>Sweeping Milwaukee design awards.<\/strong> Communication Design students and recent alumni won all five Student Showcase awards<\/a> in The Ninety Nine Adworkers Showcase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 4. Changing the board game industry.<\/strong> MIAD students Rocky Ho \u201923 (Illustration) and Melvin Hood \u201923 (Communication Design) collaborated with a local high school teacher to design and illustrate a new fantasy strategy game<\/a> that aims to broaden cultural representation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 5. Solving pandemic challenges.<\/strong> MIAD students designed innovative concepts<\/a> to make life better while facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n 6. Honoring women in Product Design.<\/strong> MIAD students Carli Jordan \u201921 (Communication Design), Olivia Paul \u201921 (Product Design) and Sophie Yufa \u201921 (Communication Design) designed a series of posters and a booklet celebrating and recognizing pioneering women product designers<\/a>.
