Partners – Emergency Lodging
In their junior year, all MIAD students complete a four credit Social Science course (HS380), which includes 35 hours of service in the Milwaukee metro area. Below is a list of over 200 organizations committed to strengthening the community, utilizing both grassroots and well-established means. MIAD students and alumni have worked with all of these organizations to better understand the issues that they deal with and to give of their time and energy.

The American Red Cross, a humanitarian organization led by volunteers, guided by its Congressional Charter and the Fundamental Principles of the International Red Cross Movement, will provide relief to victims of disasters and help people prevent, prepare for and respond to emergencies.

La Causa, Inc. is a nonprofit organization founded in 1972 that prevents abuse and provides education and social services to thousands of Milwaukee County residents. For nearly 40 years, La Causa has been totally committed to helping low-income children and parents overcome the odds in some of Milwaukee’s poorest — yet most diverse — neighborhoods.
