Graduation Update

The 2020 graduation ceremony will take place on Saturday, October 3rd at the Pabst Theater.

There will be two smaller ceremonies to accommodate family & friends of graduates, but we are still limited to the number of people allowed in the Pabst.  The number of tickets available will be determined by the number of grads participating.  Family & friends will be seated in the upper balconies and the lower level will be reserved for the graduates and faculty. Temperatures will be taken upon entry to the Pabst theatre.

The ceremonies will be divided by major, alphabetically.  CD & Illustration at 9:30, ID, IAD & NSP at 11:30.  The first ceremony will begin at 9:30 and the second ceremony will begin at 11:30.  The ceremonies will last an hour.

The ceremonies will be informal.  You are encouraged to wear your cap & gown and cords, but we will not require them – we will read the conferment of the degree and will ask the grads to turn their tassels.  Masks will be required for grads and family/friends!

The ceremony will give each graduate the opportunity to walk across the stage and receive your diploma if  you haven’t already.  We will have a photographer taking a picture of each grad as they cross the stage.  Family/friends will not be allowed in the lower level.  A link to the final video of the complete graduation ceremony will be sent to each grad.

At the completion of the ceremonies, you will exit the Pabst Theater promptly and will meet up with family and friends outside of the Pabst.  You will exit the Pabst to the Milwaukee Center Office Tower.  You will be able to meet family & friends there.
