Kingsbury taught at the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee before co-founding the Woodland Pattern Book Center with her husband, Karl Gartung, in 1979. Kingsbury has been creating prints and mixed media artworks since the 1970’s. She has participated in over 80 major exhibitions. Kingsbury uses printing methods, mixed media, and embroidery in her artwork. Kingsbury’s artwork has been featured in fourteen publications. Kingsbury has work in the Milwaukee Art Museum.
